Head of Select Development and Strategy, Hyatt Hotels Corporation

Currently Tony is Head of Select Development and Strategy for Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

Until the Fall of 2011, Tony was President of LodgeWorks, an owner, developer, and manager of properties across the United States launching the Residence Inn by Marriott, Summerfield Suites, and Sierra Suites. Tony previously served as president of the All-Suites division of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. He was also president of Summerfield Hotel Corporation from May 1988 until Summerfield’s June 1998 merger with Patriot American Hospitality/Wyndham International.

Prior to his employment at Summerfield, Tony served as Senior VP Operations and then Executive Vice President at Residence Inn. Before joining the Residence Inn Company, Tony served in various positions at Marriott Corporation from 1981 through 1985. He led Marriott’s feasibility department during the introduction of the Courtyard by Marriott brand and as head of new business development, negotiated the acquisition of a leading time-share company. He later was promoted to vice president and general manager of Marriott’s Vacation Ownership division.

Tony graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in civil engineering and received his M.B.A. from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Tony is a member of the Kansas chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization.
