Former Professor at Cornell Hotel School

Recently appointed as a full professor of Information Systems at the Grenoble Ecole de Management, Gabe spent eight years on the faculty at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University where he was a tenured professor. Prior to Grenoble, Gabe served as associate professor in the Department of Economics, Enterprise and Regulation at the University of Sassari (Italy), where he focused on the strategic application of information systems and the use of Internet technology to enable customer service.

Previous positions include Adjunct Professor of Information Systems at the AB Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and instructor at the EJ Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.

Gabe’s research has appeared in MIS Quarterly, Decision Sciences Journal, MIS Quarterly Executive, Communications of the ACM, Harvard Business Review, The DATABASE for Advances in Information Systems, The Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly, as well as other academic and applied journals. He has served as ad hoc reviewer for a number of journals in the field and serves on the editorial board of the Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly.

Gabe is a Senior Consultant with Cutter Consortium’s Innovation & Enterprise Agility practices and is the Editor of Cutter Benchmark Review. He is actively involved as a former manager of the ISWorld Mailing List, a global mailing list of about 3,000 academics and professionals in Management Information Systems and has served on organizing committees for ICIS 2001 and ICIS 2002. Gabe is a member of the ACM, AIS and INFORMS.

Gabe graduated with a Laurea in Economia e Commercio (Economics and Business Administration) from Universita’ di Pavia, and he holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in Business Administration with emphasis in Management Information Systems from Louisiana State University.
