Mike Deitemeyer is the president of Omni Hotels & Resorts, which offers luxury accommodations at 50 hotels and resorts in leading business gateways and leisure destinations across North America. Since his appointment in 2004, Deitemeyer has established the company as a leading luxury hotel brand known for delivering superior quality, award-winning service and exceptional guest experiences.
Under his leadership, the brand portfolio has expanded to include a growing luxury resort and convention hotel collection. Known for distinctive properties that capture the local and unique character of their surroundings, Omni’s newest properties include luxury resorts in destinations such as Amelia Island, FL, and historic Bedford Springs, PA, to a diverse convention hotel collection in city centers, including Dallas, Providence and Nashville.
Deitemeyer drives a unique culture at Omni Hotels & Resorts, defined by an incredibly talented, loyal and passionate family of associates dedicated to offering an unbridled experience for guests. As a result, Omni Hotels has been ranked “Highest in Guest Satisfaction Among Upper Upscale Hotel Chains” in the J.D. Power and Associates North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Study(SM) five times since 2000, including last year’s study. Omni has received notable accolades as a top luxury brand by Harris Interactive’s EquiTrends Study, Consumer Reports and Entrepreneur magazine during his tenure.
He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Global Hotel Alliance and the Global Hotel Network Advisory Board.
Prior to becoming president, Deitemeyer served as chief operating officer, a position he held from 1999 to 2004. Previously, he was the senior vice president of finance. Prior to joining Omni Hotels, Deitemeyer served as controller for TRT Development Company (Omni’s parent company) and its hotel management company, Shoreline Operating Company. He joined TRT Development Company and Shoreline Operating Company in 1992. Deitemeyer began his career in the hospitality industry with Interstate Hotels Corporation in 1985. While there, he was involved in the opening and acquisition of several hotel properties.
A graduate of Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts, Deitemeyer earned his degree in business with a concentration in accounting.
